The Shreveport Yacht Club is located on the banks of Cross Lake at 2905 Municipal Pier Rd and next to Ford Park. Richard Fleming Park is on the opposite side of the lake.
 

 

Fishing on Cross Lake is very popular for different varieties of fish, such as, largemouth bass, bluegill,  bream, white perch, and catfish. The lake supports an abundance of waterfowl, alligators, and other wildlife. Although there are several privately owned boat ramps on the lake, the most popular is the city owned ramp located on South Lakeshore Drive which has no boat ramp fee.
